Your details are used for your inspection
Draft for review
The wording below is a working draft. It sets out the structure and the substance we intend, and is awaiting review by our legal advisers before it takes effect.
We collect very little, we use it for the work you asked us to do, and we do not pass it to developers, agents or anybody selling anything.
What we collect
When you request a quote: your name, email address, telephone number, and the details of the property: community, unit type, internal area and handover date.
When we carry out an inspection: the findings, measurements and photographs that make up your report, together with the correspondence needed to get the defects resolved.
When you use the website: standard server logs and, if you consent, analytics that tell us which pages are read. Nothing in those logs identifies you by name.
What we use it for
Preparing your quote, carrying out the inspection, writing and delivering the report, and dealing with your developer or contractor on your instruction.
Contacting you about that work. We do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry.
How long we keep it
Reports and inspection records are retained so that they remain available to you during the developer's liability period and for a reasonable period afterwards, which also allows us to diarise the eleven-month check.
Quote enquiries that do not become instructions are deleted within twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days.
Security
Reports and photographs are held on access-controlled systems. Our inspectors record findings on our own platform rather than on personal devices, and site photographs are uploaded and removed from handsets at the end of each job.
Before the keys change hands
Tell us the property and the date. A fixed fee comes back the same working day.
